We were made to worship! Heart felt, Spirit directed, passionate worship is a key component in the congregational life of Good Shepherd Church. Our worship team is comprised of committed believers who exercise their musical gifts, talents and abilities to lead our congregation in God’s presence.
Toddlers and babies are well cared for in our clean nursery by women who gladly volunteer to care for your tiny ones so you are free to worship the Lord and hear the sermon without distraction.
Women of all ages gather at Debbie and Pastor Rick Wiater’s home in Canonsburg, generally one Saturday a month, for fellowship, prayer and some healthy snacks.
Children love the personal attention and age-appropriate teaching they receive during the second half of our Sunday worship services.
Teens ( High School)
This Sunday class is intended to deepen teens’ Christian beliefs and faith.
We believe in going where the Lord sends us, as well as in sponsoring missionaries with whom He has connected us. Pastor Rick is the current President of Meeting God in Missions, he along with teams from our church go on short-term mission trips each year to assist Haitians who have relocated to the Dominican Republic and are in need of housing, education, fellowship, the message of salvation, prayer, and Bible study.
We financially support missionaries around the world in Kenya, Uganda, Kosovo, Albania, China, Costa Rica, and Indonesia. Locally, we support the Washington City Mission and disabled veterans.
