What is Sunday like at Good Shepherd Church?

When you visit Good Shepherd Church, you will find a friendly and relaxed place filled with people of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds who love being with one another and who seek to glorify God through passionate worship, fervent prayer, and the ministry of God’s Word.

Our worship music is a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, led by a worship team of gifted musicians and singers.

We believe that worship is not only a Sunday morning expression of our faith, but that we are to daily present our bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is our spiritual service of worship. (Romans 12:1-2)

A Brief History

Good Shepherd Church was established in 1998 as a church planting of Covenant Church of Pittsburgh under Bishop Joseph L. Garlington. At that time, the Lord led Pastor Rick and Debbie Wiater and a small group of believers to establish a new worshipping community in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Today, Good Shepherd Church is a growing, caring, life-giving community of worshippers who desire to hold forth the message of God’s love to their fellow man.
